We're happy to announce SerialMailer 8.5, a new update that improves the editing experience and addresses a reliability issue when sending large mailings through Gmail.
When you copy content from a webpage, a document, or another application, it often contains a mix of formatted text and images. Previously, pasting such content into SerialMailer could lose the embedded images, requiring you to insert them manually.
With SerialMailer 8.5, images are now preserved when you paste formatted text. Simply copy the content you need and paste it into your message — text formatting and images come along together. This makes it much easier to compose rich newsletters based on content from other sources.
Some users experienced an issue where sending a large number of emails through a Gmail account could fail partway through. This happened because Gmail imposes connection limits that could interrupt a long-running send session.
SerialMailer 8.5 handles these limits more gracefully, so your mailings will complete reliably even when sending to large recipient lists via Gmail.
If you purchased SerialMailer directly through serialmailer.com, you can download the latest version from the Download page.
If you purchased SerialMailer from the Mac App Store, the new version will be available in the App Store app.
